School Mission  North Houston Baptist School exists as an instrument of North Houston Baptist Church to assist and encourage parents in the training of their children in the truth of God's Word. North Houston Baptist School desires that each child come to know, love and reflect the Lord Jesus Christ. By instructing through academics and extracurricular activities, we give young people the tools necessary to prepare themselves for a life of ministry and usefulness to God. Students are challenged daily to progressively grow in the knowledge of their Lord and Savior.  Philosophy  By providing an academic setting based on the Word of God, NHBS strives to develop character and instill moral values in young people that will enable them to grow spiritually and stand against ungodly influences. Our students are challenged and instructed in the application of Scriptural principles through the curriculum and weekly chapel sessions. The educational philosophies at NHBS are an outgrowth of our view of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. We believe the Bible contains the answers to the needs of the human heart. Our students receive instruction from God's Word presented in practical, grade-appropriate settings and have the opportunity to develop lasting friendships with other Christian young people that can embrace their relationship with Christ. The faculty and staff exhibit positive, godly role models for the students to learn from and observe. At NHBS, we are committed to faithfully proclaiming the truth of God's Word and compassionately ministering to each of our students and their families.  Purpose  Our purpose is to assist Christian parents in the Biblical responsibility of rearing their children for the Lord.  Affiliations  Our faculty are certified through the American Association of Christian Schools and the Texas Organization of Christian Schools. It is by these memberships that we continue teacher development and provide numerous opportunities for our students to compete and cooperate with students from other Christian schools.
